  • FISH REPORT June 27, 1999 BASS The face of O'Sullivan Dam is only improving for Smallmouth as the Reservoir water level continues to drop. Cecil Davis visited Mar Don from Pueblo West, Colorado, to fish Smallmouth. He used a floating Rapala for many Smallmouth to 2 lb. The sand dunes have been only fair for largemouth this week. Spinner baits, plastic worms and plugs of all kinds have been working.

  • Big Lake located southeast of Mount Vernon is starting to turn on for the largemouths! Try pitching a black 6 inch texas rigged Zoom lizard into the shallow weeds in the south end and fish it slow. This seems to be the hot bait at the moment

  • Tri Cities Columbia River area bass fishing is getting hot also. Fish shallow water in less than 15 feet for largemouths and smallmouths. Areas to try include main river islands, Caseys Pond and Villards pond. For the largemouths try the backwaters around the mouths of the Yakima River and Chemical Bay. Try 4-6 inch Zoom lizards for the smallmouths and a dark colored jig and pig for largemouths.

  • Dave Landahl, Bass Columnist for the Fishing and Hunting News pciks the following westside lakes as the best bass fishing going right now! Black Lake, Ohop Lake, Duck Lake, Lake Washington, Clear Lake, and Lake Spanaway. For tips and instructions for these lakes, check out the April 15-May6 Issue of the Fishing and Hunting news.
